In the 80s, it appears that Singapore Airline's logo was subject to a progressive downsizing. By the time this bag came out, the logo was about the size of the airline name. The logo would get smaller in the next pass and the name of the airline would vanish, as would the yellow color, on Singapore's evolution towards minimalism.
