Alliance Air

Approximate Vintage: 2003
Received From: Gilles Beger
Print or Image Color: White
Background / Bag Color: Navy
Very similar in design to the Indian Air bag. What I like about this bag is their tailfin logo design that not only carries over the the 'A' in the English portion, but to the Hindi portion as well (or whatever language that is).

Note: Ironically, this airline doesn't fly to Alliance Airport in Ft. Worth, Texas.

ALM

Approximate Vintage: 1983
Received From: Tom Rooze
What is that on the bag? A nuclear blast's mushroom cloud? Stomach enzymes churning up your partially digested food? Nimbus clouds? Whatever it is, it's gross.

ALM

Approximate Vintage: 1999
Received From: Peter Black
Print or Image Color: Blue and Yellow
Background / Bag Color: White
Since ALM is a Dutch airline, it's odd that the two languages they use on the bag are English and Spanish. By the way, desperdicios is about my favorite word for "waste".

ALM Antillean Airlines

Approximate Vintage: 1988
Received From: Kim Decker
Print or Image Color: Blue, Orange
Background / Bag Color: White
This bag features 6 dancing stars around the ALM. The back still features the atomic mushroom cloud.

Alma

Received From: David Shomper
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
No, not ALM, Alma de Mexico. The only other Alma I know is the name of a Tom Lehrer song, and just as an aside, isn't Tom Lehrer great?

Alyemda

Received From: Tim Lemmon
Print or Image Color: Navy
Background / Bag Color: Blue, White
If you examine the logo closely, it appears to be a flying alien.

Alyemen

Received From: Ralph Riffenburgh
Print or Image Color: Navy, Red, Black
Background / Bag Color: White
Has stars in the fold and an olde English Thorn inside the logo.

Amaszonas

Approximate Vintage: 2012
Received From: Samantha Aeschbach
Print or Image Color: Red, breen, Yellow, Blue, White
Background / Bag Color: White
Far outpacing their Brazilian counterpart VASP, AmasZonas has placed a full color frowny face on their bag. What a colorful bag, to hide your colorful spew.

Amaszonas

Approximate Vintage: 2015
Received From: Denir Camargo
Print or Image Color: Red, Blue, White
Background / Bag Color: White Plastic
Amaszonas of Paraguay goes more conservative than its previous offering, but still sports the pick-up-sticks logo.

AMC

Received From: Tim Gibson
Print or Image Color: Red and White
Background / Bag Color: Navy
This Egyptian carrier failed at making its logo look like an airplane. Rather, it's looks more like some sort of genetically altered kabob.

Identical to other AMC bag except has a serrated top.

AMC

Received From: David Harris
Print or Image Color: Red and White
Background / Bag Color: Navy
This Egyptian carrier failed at making its logo look like an airplane. Rather, it's looks more like some sort of genetically altered kabob.

Identical to other AMC bag except has a straight top.

AMC

Received From: Bruce Kelly
Print or Image Color: Red
Background / Bag Color: White
I assert the following generalization: Egypt puts out the cheesiest, flimsiest, ugliest bags of all nations -- and likes it that way.

Amedeo

Approximate Vintage: 2002
Received From: Fredy Thürig
Print or Image Color: Black
Background / Bag Color: Gray
This Brunei bag looks a lot like Royal Brunei. Surprise! By the way, what in the world does Sdn. Bhd. stand for? Sudden beheading? Slow down, Bedhead?

Vomit Genius Y.L. Tan to the rescue. Y.L. says that Sdn Bhd is Malay for "Sendirian Berhad", which means "Private Limited". I think it still makes no sense to tack on Limited to Corporation.

American Airlines

Received From: Tom Leist
Print or Image Color: Blue
Background / Bag Color: White
Old logo. Actually, no logo at all.

American Airlines

Received From: Dean Eckert

American Airlines

Received From: Robert Masumura

Very similar offering to other American Airlines bags of the day, except they upgraded by adding red.
